Eagle Asset Management (EAM) is planning to undertake the construction of the East-West Arterial Highway in the Cayman Islands.
The project involves the construction of a 16km road. It includes the construction of carriageways, service roads, pedestrian ways and related facilities, and the installation of signaling systems.
In January 2014, EAM signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Cayman Islands Government (CIG) to build the road under a public-private partnership.
GLF Construction Corporation has been appointed as contractor and CTL Capital LLC is funding the project.
On October 12, 2016, Department of Environment (DoE), Cayman Islands has issued the screening opinion on the project stating that the project requires an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
