The Dutch Docklands Co. (Dutch) is undertaking the construction of the Royal Indian Ocean Club project in the Maldives.
The project involves the construction of an 18-hole floating Golf course. It will include the construction of underwater tunnels, an underwater clubhouse, romantic homes and townhouses, ultra-luxury palatial style villas and the installation of safety and security systems.
In December 2011, Dutch shortlisted six design experts including Major champions and Ryder Cup legends to design the golf course. A final decision will be made in conjunction with the Maldives government.
Waterstudio.NL has been appointed to provide concept design and urban planning services; and Troon Golf as the technical adviser for the project.
Dutch's in-house division will undertake the construction works for the project.
