The project involves the duplication of an 80.2km highway, the asphalting of the highway, and the construction of bridges, pedestrian crossings, bus bays and bike lines.
The project will be implemented in two lots. Lot one includes the duplication of a 41.8km of the highway between São Caetano (18.2km) to Lajedo (60Km) and Lot two includes the duplication of 38.4km of the highway between Lajedo (60km) to Garanguns (98.4km).
The federal government of Brazil will fund the investment through the PAC program.
Planning and meetings between the state government and Ministry of Transport are underway for the development of the project.
