Digital Realty Trust (DLR) is undertaking the De President Data Center project in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The project involves the construction of a 14,667m2, 11.5MW data center on a 2.14ha area.
The project will include the construction of technical space together with ancillary space including dedicated offices and store rooms.
The project includes the construction of six data halls with each one offering 1,920 kW of UPS capacity, server rooms, an administrative facility, parking facilities and other related infrastructural facilities, and the installation of generators.
NW Architects has been appointed as the design consultant for the project.
In the second quarter of 2013, planning consent for the project obtained.
In July 2013, DLR acquired 2.14ha of land required for the development of the project from Municipality of Haarlemmermeer.
