Driftwood LNG LLC, (DLL) a subsidiary of Tellurian Inc. (TELL) is planning to build an LNG terminal in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, the US.
The project involves the construction of an LNG terminal with a capacity of 26 MTPA of LNG (million tonnes per annum) on 323.7ha of land. It includes the construction of five LNG trains, gas processing units, vacuum chambers, distillation units, four storage tanks with a capacity of 175,000m3 each, three compressor stations, 15m stations and other related infrastructure facilities, and the laying of 154.5km gas pipelines, a 5.6km 36-inch-diameter pipeline lateral.
The 154.5km pipeline will be constructed in three segments consists of 119km 42-inch diameter pipeline, 17.7km 42-inch diameter pipeline, and 17.7km 36-inch diameter pipeline.
On June 6, 2016, The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved the pre-filing request.
On July 8, 2017, DLL filed a draft resource reports with FERC.
On October 4, 2017, FERC scheduled a public comment session.
On October 13, 2016, DLL filed an application for authorization to export LNG with the FERC.
On March 2, 2017, DLL received the LNG export approvals.
On March 10, 2017, DLL appointed SG Americas Securities LLC, a unit of Societe Generale as a financial advisor for Driftwood LNG project.
