The Directorate General of Highways (DGH) under Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) is undertaking the improvements in different sections of South Link Highway in Pingtung County, Southern Taiwan.
The project involves the construction of 40km road sections within the south link highway. The project starts at Sianglan Village in Taimali Township, Taitung County, and extend to Caopu Village in Shihzih Township, Pingtung County.
The project includes the construction of two tunnels; a200m-long and a 4.8km-long tunnel, pedestrian ways, a four-lane route that connects Ansu Village in Daren Township, Taitung County, and Caopu.
The construction works commenced in the first quarter of 2012.
Construction activities are underway.
