Dolphin Capital Investors (DCI) is planning to undertake the Plaka Bay Resort Development project in Greece.

The project involves the construction of a resort and an 18-hole golf course on 440ha of land. It includes the construction of 70,000m2 residential units and five-star hotels on 30,000m2 area.

Hart Howerton was appointed as the master planner for the development and Zoniro S.A, the in-house division of DCI is overlooking the development.

On December 3, 2012, the developers secured a preliminary environmental impact study approval, allowing for the development of hotel and villas.

DCI received first environmental approvals from Greek National Tourism Organization.

In fourth quarter of 2013, DCI signed an agreement with Eastern Crete Development Company S.A. as development manager to obtain all permits required to enable the development and to select advisers, consultants, etc., during the pre-construction phases.

Planning activities are underway.


The project involves the construction of a resort on a 440ha area at the Crete Island in Greece.

The US$37 million project includes the following:

2. Construction of 30,000m2 hotels

3. Construction of 70,000m2 residential units
