Crescent Communities LLC (Crescent) is undertaking the construction of a mixed-use complex in Charlotte, North Carolina, the US.

The project involves the construction a mixed-use complex on 2.2ha of land. The project includes the construction of a 22-story residential tower with 450 apartments, a lynx light rail station, a 4,366m2 Whole Foods Market store, 1,858m2 of retail space, two hotels with 350 rooms, a 1,400-space parking deck and related facilities.

It also includes construction of an invisible-edge salt water pool, fully-fenced and gated dog park, roof terrace, and fully outfitted fitness center with yoga room. The project will be developed in phases.

In March 2014, Charlotte City Council approved a US$10.3 million bid of Crescent to acquire 1.45ha of land from the council. Crescent also plans to acquire the 0.72ha of land to develop the project.

Lord Aeck Sargent and Preston Partnership provided have been appointed as design consultants and Land Design as the civil engineer.

On November 17, 2015, the Crescent has closed the purchase of 1.45ha of land from Charlotte City Council.

Whiting-Turner has been appointed as the General contractor, The Preston Partnership as Architect and Vignette Interior Design as interior designer for the project.

In January 2016, the project secured US$92 million finance from JP Morgan for the development.

On January 6, 2016, construction works commenced with a groundbreaking ceremony.

Construction works are underway and apartments expected to be completed by late 2017 and the entire project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2018.
