On August 13, 2014, Coco secured an environmental approval from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
On August 21, 2015, Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) commenced public consultations and was completed on August 31, 2015.
The project has been facing delay due to legal issues with the Citizen Group appeals, apposing the development. However, OMB dimissed the groups appeal giving the developer right to proceed in December 2015, after the site plan approval from the city.
