On July 31, 2015, the project secured partial approval from the Miami Beach City Commission and the final approval is expected to be secured by the fourth quarter of 2015.

On March 15, 2016, voters rejected the planning proposal.

The committee recommending a new proposal for the hotel development and expected to held a public hearing by the end of 2018.
