On April 3, 2014, Champlain submitted planning application to the City of Burlington.

In 2014, the City of Burlington rejected the planning application.

In 2015, Champlain sold the proposed site to the YMCA.

On November 28, 2016, Champlain received approval for purchasing the proposed site from the City of Burlington. Champlain secured the zoning change.

On January 23, 2017, construction work commenced with the groundbreaking ceremony.

Gardner Kilcoyne was appointed as the architect and HP Cummings as the construction manager.

Construction activities are underway with completion slated for August 2018.
