Celec, Ecuador’s state-owned power generation company is undertaking the construction of the Santiago Hydroelectric Power Plant project in Morona Santiago province, Ecuador.
The project involves the construction of a hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 3,600MW. It includes the construction of a powerhouse, a substation, a dam and tunnel, the installation of turbines, generators and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.
It will use Namangoza and Zamora river's water.
