Casper Energy (Casper) and Eagle Ford oil & Gas Corp (EECE) are planning to build an oil refinery in Targinnie, Gladstone, Queensland, Australia.
The project involves the construction of an oil refinery with an initial production capacity of 4.64 million cubic meters per annum (MCMPA) and a diesel import terminal. It includes the construction of processing units, production units, storage units, control rooms, laboratories, administrative facilities, distillation towers, access roads and related infrastructure, the installation of machinery, and the laying of pipelines.
On May 19, 2015, Casper and EECE commenced preliminary studies for the project.
CQG Consulting was appointed as the planning consultant.
In September 2016, Casper was engaged with Axon, French energy company to secure the equipment for the refinery.
In October 2016, Casper prepared an Impact Advice Statement (IAS) to submit to the government.
