On August 6, 2015, Care Ashore submitted the final planning application to the Waverley Borough Council for the construction of the independent living care facility, 125 homes, retail units and the cafeteria, along with related community facilities.
Care Ashore also submitted the outline project plans to construct 275 residential units, and the primary school with associated open space.
In July 2016, the city council rejected the outline planning application.
In February 2017, Care Ashore submitted revised plans of the project to Waverley Borough Council. The planning application seeks:
Full permission for 125 new homes, a shop, cafe, and community facilities; full permission for a new care facility and 20 associated bungalows; outline permission for 275 new homes, primary school and open space; and outline permission for a 25-bed residential care facility.
On December 1, 2017, planning appeal was dismissed due to environmental issues.
