Cadogan Estates Ltd (Cadogan) plans to undertake the construction of a mixed-use development at 196–222 Kings Road, Chelsea, London, the UK.
The project includes the construction of a mixed-use complex on a 2ha of land, 47 residential units comprised of five affordable units, a 2,579m2, three screen cinema, 2,296m2 of office space, 2,216m2 of retail space, 3,561m2 of restaurant space, a 650m2 rooftop bar, a public house, a Waitrose supermarket and the installation of elevators, safety and security systems.
In 2014, Cadogan submitted plans to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC). However, in October 2014, the plans were rejected.
Hurley Palmer Flatt has been appointed as consulting engineer, Paul Davies + Partners as an architect, Donald Insall Associates as a planner and Wates Group Ltd as general contractor for residential.
AKT II Ltd has been appointed as structural engineer, The Trevor Patrick Partnership Limited as quantity surveyor and Capital and Provincial as project manager.
Cadogan revised the project plans and submitted the application to the RBKC and received in principal approval on October 13, 2015.
On December 13, 2016, Cadogan submitted a detailed planning application to RBKC.
Cadogan is in the process of obtaining final approval, which is expected on February 8, 2017. Demolition will commence in June 2017 and the construction is scheduled for completion in 2019.
