Chevron Corporation (CVX) is planning to construct a headquarters building in Perth, Western Australia, Australia.

The project involves the construction of a 70,000m2, 36-story office tower on 0.68ha of land. It will include the construction of office space, meeting rooms, a cafeteria, parking and related facilities, the installation of elevators, safety and security systems.

In November 2013, CVX purchased 6,795m2 lot VII at Elizabeth Quay for US$60 million, from the Western Australia State Government. Under the land purchase agreement, Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA) insisted CVX to start construction in 2016, failure to which leads to repurchase of the land.

In May 2017, project kept on hold.

In February 2018, CVX received an extension for the third time from the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA) to submit the details of the project with December 2018 as submission deadline.

Scope

The project involves the construction of a 70,000m2, 36-story office tower on a 6,795m2 area at the corner of Barrack Street and the Esplanade in Perth, Western Australia.

The US$300 million project includes the following:

3. Construction of a cafeteria

4. Construction of parking facilities
