It will include the construction of retail outlets, a wellness center, schools, arts and recreation spaces, a swimming pool, a 151-bed safety net hospital by Saint Anthony Hospital, an outpatient clinic, private patient rooms, 1,200 parking space and related facilities.
In July 2012, CSDC submitted a planning application to the City of Chicago.
In September 2012, HDR Architecture, Inc was appointed as the design contractor.
HDR Architecture, along with the University Of Nebraska Medical Center College Of Public Health, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Architecture has undertaken the research study.
Planning activities are underway. Construction is scheduled to commence in 2019.
