Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CMA) is planning to undertake the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport expansion project in Hamilton County, Tennessee, the US.
The project involves the expansion of airport terminal. It includes the construction of access roads, parking garage to accommodate 1,000 vehicles, expansion of runway by 366m and other related facilities.
Tennessee State will pay 90% of the project’s cost while the airport will provide the rest from its operations budget.
In fourth quarter of 2010, Allen & Hoshall was appointed as an engineering services contractor, Morgan Construction and Paris Construction as EPC contractors and Wilson Air Centers as the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) for the terminal and hanger facility services for the project.
In November 2010, the construction works on the project commenced and are underway.
Construction on the first 300 parking spaces, sidewalks and canopies were completed in the first quarter of 2016.
In March 2016, CMA announced plans to add 232 parking spaces in a new satellite parking lot on Airport Road across from the Greyhound station.
Danny Pack Construction, Inc. was the low bidder of US$33,510 contract to demolish the existing canopy and install a wider canopy with lighting.
232 parking spaces will be funded through the Passenger Facility Charge.
Planning activities for additional 232 parking spaces are underway.
The project includes the expansion of airport terminal at 1001 Airport Road in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Tennessee, the US.
The US$241 million project includes the following:
1. Construction of access roads
2. Construction of parking garage to accommodate 1,000 vehicles
3. Expansion of runway by 366m
