Clean TeQ Holdings Ltd (CLQ) is planning to construct a mineral processing plant in New South Wales, Australia.
The project involves the construction of a mineral processing plant to produce 50 tonnes per annum (TPA) scandium oxide.
It includes the construction of a 64,000tpa processing plant, power supply facility, a tailings storage facility, offices, workshops, warehouses and supporting infrastructure required for the operation of the facility, and the laying of water pipelines.
CPC Project Design Pty Ltd has been appointed to provide a capital and operating cost estimate for a number of alternative process routes.
In March 2015, CLQ appointed Golder Associates Pty Ltd to determine the availability of water from established bores and local townships at the project site. Golder Associates has also provided engineering services for the tailings storage facility and has undertaken geotechnical studies for the mine process plant and infrastructure facilities.
On May 25, 2015, OreWin Pty Ltd completed the scoping study for the project.
GR Engineering Services Ltd has been appointed as lead engineer for the feasibility study (FS) and will complete the engineering work, focusing on the design of the processing plant from ROM pad to tailings slurry discharged to the tailings storage facility.
In October 2016, CLQ completed the pre-feasibility study for the project.
In January 2017, CLQ re-branded the project as nickel-cobalt project.
In March 2017, Mining Lease application was submitted and Water licencing and environmental studies commenced.
In October 2017, CLQ received the planning approvals from New South Wales (NSW) Department of Planning and Environment.
Definitive Feasibility Study (BFS) on the project is underway with completion scheduled by the March of 2018.
Construction works are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2018. The final investment decision
