The project involves the construction of a thermoelectric power plant with two units: Lagoa Grande I and Lagoa Grande II with a capacity of 50MW each, substations, power transmission lines of 138kv, diesel oil storage and distribution facilities, water treatment facilities, sewage treatment facilities and access roads and the installation of generators, transformers and related facilities.
Study contract has been awarded to YKS Serviços ltda.
In November 2015, the project obtained the preliminary approvals.
An in-house construction division of CIAPE is responsible for the construction works.
The project is in the process to get the environmental license.
