Summary
CH Oil & Gaz, a subsidiary of Altech Group and Rosneft are planning to develop the Pechora LNG-plant in Pechora, Russia.
This complex will process 4.2 billion m3 of dry gas and produce 2.6 million tonnes of LNG per year already at the first stage. In future, the project can be expanded upon the construction of the second production line, which will increase the LNG output 2-fold. Its estimated production life is 25 years.
The construction also includes the creation of the gas-transportation and related marine infrastructure.
The gas will be sourced from of Kumzhinskoye and Korovinskoye fields. The ABC1 and C2 resource at Kumzhinskoye total 104 billion cubic meters (BCM) of gas and 4 million tonnes of condensate. Production at the field could reach as high as 3.9 BCM of gas and 200,000 tonnes of condensate each year.
LNG produced from the plant will be exported to countries in the Asia-Pacific region, with LNG tankers from the Pechora River, through the Barents Sea, Atlantic and Suez Canal to Asia.
The Alltek group is hosting negotiations with South Korea's Kogas, PetroVietnam Gas Corp., and China National Offshore Oil Company (CNOOC) for participation in the Pechora-LNG project.
