Constellation Energy Corp (CEC) and a Swedish investment company, North Investors AB (NIAB), are planning to construct a hydroelectric power plant project in San Teodoro, Oriental Mindoro, the Philippines.
The project involves the construction of a power plant with a capacity of 5.6MW. It is being implemented as Alag Tributary 1 with 2.8MW capacity and Alag Tributary 2 with 2.8MW capacity.
The project includes the construction of a reservoir, penstock, a powerhouse and a substation and the installation of hydraulic turbines and generators.
NIAB and CEC are considering setting up a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to manage the project. NIAB would take up to 40% in the proposed joint venture.
The projects have received pre-development clean energy contract by the Department of Energy, Philippines.
