The Cleveland City Council (CCC) is undertaking the construction of Cleveland Lakefront Mixed-Use project in Ohio, the US.

The project involves the construction of a 204,387m2 mixed-use complex on 11ha of land, comprising around 1,000 apartments. The project will be developed in three phases.

The first phase includes the construction of a two-story eatery (Nuevo), a 7,432m2 office space, 250 apartments and 2,787m2 to 3,716m2 of retail space, a three-story building includes 16 luxury apartments on the site of a former skateboarding park around North Coast Harbor.

The second and third phases include the construction of 400 to 500 apartments. Detail scope of the second and the third phases are disclosed later.

It includes the construction of 5,574m2 retail space, a boutique branded hotel, a charter school, 800 parking spaces and other related facilities.

Gilbane Inc. and Coleman Spohn Corporation were appointed as the project managers. The scope of work includes the construction management, design and engineering for the project.

HKS Architects, URS Corp., SWA Group and Mobius Grey LLC were appointed as architects for the project.

Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital LLC will provide loan origination and financing for the project.

Snavely Development Co. (SDC) has been appointed as design-build contractor.

In March 2014, Cumberland Lakefront LLC, a joint venture of Cumberland Real Estate Development and Trammell Crow Co., was appointed as the developer for the project.

In June 2014, the Cleveland City Council approved the project plans.

In January 2016, Construction commenced for the two-story eatery (Nuevo) of the first phase.

In July 2016, Construction of the two-story eatery (Nuevo) of the first phase completed.

In December 2016, plans have been revised for the three-story building and submitted to the Cleveland City Council.

Construction of the three-story building of the first phase is expected to complete in the third quarter of 2018.
