Summary
The Coventry City Council (CCC) in collaboration Aviva Investment (Aviva) is planning to undertake the redevelopment of City Center South project in West Midlands, the UK.
The project involves the construction of a city center. It will include the construction of 52,000m2 of retail and leisure space, an 11,148m2 anchor store, a 5,700m2 cinema theater, a 3,500m2 hotel, 40 apartments, 50 retail units, a major department store, three large flagship stores, student accommodation, nine family restaurants and 1,200 parking space, and the installation of safety and security systems.
On March 27, 2012, outline planning application was submitted to Coventry's planning committee and secured approval on June 1, 2012.
In November 2013, Queensberry Real Estate (QRE) was appointed as the development partner to transform the area that covers Bull Yard, Shelton Square and City Arcade of the project.
