Chennai Corporation (CC) is planning to undertake the road bridge project in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
The project involves the construction of a 27m wide, 2.7km flyover from Koyambedu crossing Ega Theatre, a rail over bridge parallel to the existing Guruswamy bridge, three flyovers in the shape of trumpets, and an elevated road from starting from the rail over-bridge up to Valluvar Kottam junction with drop points connecting Spur Tank Road, Sterling Road, College Road, Nun-gambakkam and Anna Salai.
The project will be implemented in three phases.
It includes the construction of interchanges, medians and supporting walls, the installation of street lamps, safety and security systems.
STUP Consultants has been appointed as consultant for the project.
In July 2014, Public consultations held.
CC submitted a detail project report (DPR) for the project and received approval.
Planning activities are underway.
