Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and CAT Telecom Public Company Limited (CAT) are planning to build a digital innovation park in Chonburi Province, Thailand.
The project involves the construction of a digital innovation park on 96ha of land. It includes the construction of commercial space, retail amenities, office buildings, food courts, access roads, parking and related facilities, and the installation of safety and security systems.
The project includes the development of digital infrastructure like optical fibre links, cloud computing systems, a data centre, and internet gateways with an investment of US$279 million, while IEAT would arrange industrial facilities and investment incentives for investors.
In August 2016, CAT signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with IEAT for the project development.
Construction is expected to be start in 2018.
