Bloomberg L.P is undertaking the construction of Bloomberg Place project in London, the UK.
The project involves the construction of 102,190m2, new headquarters complex on 1.3ha of land. It includes the construction of two, 10-story office building comprising three basement levels.
The first building will feature 46,452m2 office facility and house for Bloomberg staff, and the other will serve as a speculative building.
Both buildings will have their own principal entrances to the office accommodation. The larger North Building will house the remains of the Temple of Mithras and exhibition space, a new entrance to Bank Underground Station, a 250-seat theatre, 18 restaurants, 4600 desk spaces, retail floor space at ground floor, with an office at other levels and storage facilities. The smaller South Building will contain retail at ground floor, with an office at other levels and storage facilities.
The two buildings will be connected by three bridge links at second, fourth and sixth-floor levels across a pedestrian arcade.
It also includes the construction of conference halls, meeting rooms, reception space, multi-function room and other related facilities, the installation of elevators, air conditioning systems and automated systems.
Foster + Partners has been appointed as the architect for the project.
In December 2010, Tishman Speyer was appointed as the development manager for the project.
In March 2012, Sir Robert McAlpine was appointed as the construction contractor for the project and on March 20, 2012, City's Planning and Transportation Committee has approved the project plans.

As of August 2017, final construction activities are underway and anticipated for completion the third quarter of 2017.
