Blackstone Group (BG) is planning to undertake the construction of the Nordlicher Grund Offshore Wind Farm project in Sylt, Germany. It will be situated approximately 100km off the German coast in the North Sea.
The project involves the construction of an offshore wind farm with a capacity of 384MW, power houses, substations, the installation of 64 turbines with a capacity of 5MW each, generators, transformers, and the laying of the transmission line.

As of May 2015, Blackstone Group was attempting to get Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie (BSH) to agree to a connection on the HelWin2 link. BSH had previously rejected this request due to the connection would have to cross between different offshore clusters.
The tender activities are expected to be commenced on April 01, 2018.
Construction work is expected to commence by 2019 and will be completed by 2025.
