As of May 2015, Blackstone Group was attempting to get Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie (BSH) to agree to a connection on the HelWin2 link. BSH had previously rejected this request due to the connection would have to cross between different offshore clusters.

The tender activities are expected to be commenced on April 01, 2018.

Construction work is expected to commence by 2019 and will be completed by 2025.
