    Bathurst Resources Ltd (Bathurst) is a coal mining company. The company explores, develops, and produces coal mining assets in New Zealand. It holds interest in Buller Project which covers 10,000 hectares of exploration and mining permits on the Buller coal field including the Escarpment project on the Denniston Plateau and the adjacent Cascade mine. It has four operating mines which supplies energy to South Island industrial customers such as Cascade and Escarpment in the Buller coalfield near Denniston; Canterbury Coal in west of Christchurch; and Takitimu near Invercargill. The company also owns a coal distribution center in Timaru. Bathurst is headquartered in Wellington, New Zealand.
