The Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) and the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Indonesia (MLHR) are planning to build an industrial correctional institution in Nusakambangan, Central Java, Indonesia.
The project involves the construction of an industrial correctional institution on 210,000ha of land. It includes the construction of an 18,570m2 of security correctional facility with 1,200 inmates consist of 12,615m2 correctional building, a 12,125,107m2 of animal husbandry industry with 21,000 cattle consist of a 47,107m2 of livestock building, a 3,000m2 of cattle yard, a 12,075,000m2 of paddock, and parking and related facilities.
The project investment will be supported by MLHR through Directorate General of Correctional Facility through the scheme.
As of June 2017, pre-feasibility study activities are underway.
