The project involves the construction of a residential community comprising eight apartment towers, ranging from five-to-18 stories on 3.3ha of land. It includes the construction of 1,400 apartments, retail space, a supermarket, offices, gym, medical, Community facilities, a public plaza, fitness center, pedestrian lane ways, a swimming pool, parking spaces and related facilities and the installation of elevators and safety systems.

The project will be implemented in stages.

The stage 1B includes the construction of a three-story podium connecting three residential towers of 15, 12 and eight-story respectively comprising 208 units.

Elenberg Fraser has been appointed as architect.

On August 27, 2015, R&F submitted project plans to Maribyrnong City Council (MCC).

The project plans were referred to the Heritage Council of Victoria on September 23, 2015.

In December 2015, R&F launched a legal action against MCC with the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) after the council failed to approve R&F’s development proposal.

On May 12, 2016, the project received approvals as VCAT directed MCC to approve the plans.

On September 23, 2016, the Maribyrnong Planning Scheme needs to be approved by Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) Victoria, for rezoning Kinnears Ropeworks Heritage site.

In February 2017, R&F submitted a planning application for stage 1B to MCC.

R&F is awaiting for stage 1B approval from MCC.
