In October 2013, public consultations were held for the proposed facility.
On July 23, 2014, Petaluma City Council approved the environmental impact report (EIR) of the project.
In April 2016, the project secured approval of a permit to grade the site from the city council.
As of August 2017, infrastructure works, including portions of roadways and landscaping are underway and expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2017.
