British Land (BLND) is planning to undertake the redevelopment of a mixed-use project in Lancashire, the UK.
The project involves the construction of mixed-use facilities on 4ha of land. It will include the upgrade of the public realm on lower Church Street, Stonewall and lower St Leonard Gate including a pedestrian crossing, pedestrian shopping links from Stonewall to new public square, and the construction of a department store, 30 shops, a supermarket, cafes, restaurants, public squares, public park, residential accommodation, including a terrace of cottages on Alfred Street and, a 800 car parking facility.
On May 17, 2012, a public meeting was held.
In June 2013, BLND has appointed new development team including architects, planners and building specialists on the project.
Centros has been appointed as development manager, Chapman Taylor as master planner and lead architect, Richard Griffiths Architects as historic buildings architect, GL Hearn as planning consultant, Mayer Brown as transport consultant and Waterman Group as structural engineer and environmental consultant.
