The Brentford Football Club (BFC) is planning to construct a soccer community stadium project in Greater London, the UK.

The project involves the construction of a 17,250-seat stadium on 3.1ha of land. The project is developed in phases.

The project includes the construction of a 15-story residential building comprising of 910 homes, of which 487 are included in the first phase, 368m2 commercial space, hotel, indoor sports center with swimming pool, cinema hall, library, gym, parking facility, and the installation of safety and security systems.

Censeo Consulting and Franklin + Andrews has been appointed as the cost consultant; Greengage Environmental as environmental consultant; Fabrik as landscape architect; AFL Architect as architect; Planning Perspectives as planning consultant; EC Harris, a subsidiary of Arcadis NV, as project manager; WSP Group as transport consultant; Sinclair Knight Merz, a division of Jacobs, as structural engineer; Faulkner Browns as master planner and Taylor Wessing as legal advisor.

In June 2012, BFC acquired land for a new stadium from Barratt Homes and in May 2013, BFC submitted a planning application to the London Borough of Hounslow (LBoH) and secured outline approval in December 2013.

BFC issued tenders for the developer and in January 2014, Willmott Dixon was selected as preferred bidder.

In March 2014, BFC secured final approvals from the London Borough of Hounslow.

On December 23, 2014, the development agreement was signed between BFC and Willmott Dixon. As per the agreement, BFC will contribute its land at Lionel Road South site where Willmott Dixon, as the development partner, will build the stadium, associated infrastructure, and 910 new homes, including 338 rent homes under Willmott Dixon’s Private Rental Sector (PRS) company.

The homes will be built by Prime Place, the residential arm of Willmott Dixon, on three plots around the stadium, the Central Eastern site, Capital Court site and Central Southern site.

In September 2015, a public consultation was held.

In December 2015, the project secured approval from the Hounslow Council's planning committee.

On April 1, 2016, Hounslow Borough Council received the government approval for a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) to buy the remaining land needed by the BFC before any work can start on the project site.

On September 1, 2016, BFC confirmed that the LBoH has completed the CPO land acquisition process for the project site.

In October 2016, BFC submitted the formal planning application to allow rugby at the stadium which was approved by the LBoH's Planning Committee on February 9, 2017.

Buckingham Group Contracting has been appointed as the construction contractor for the stadium.

Be Living Ltd was appointed as the development partner.

As of April 2017, site preparatory works are underway.

In August 2017, BFC amended the project plans from 20,000 to 17,250 seats to ease the construction constraints.

Planning activities for the amendments are underway. Construction work is expected to commence in early 2018 and scheduled to be completed by early 2020.
