Blue Energy Ltd (BEL) is planning to build a pipeline between Moranbah gas fields to southern markets in Queensland, Australia.
The project involves the construction of a 200km gas pipeline link to Gladstone. It includes the construction of pumping stations, a gas compressor station, support structures and related facilities, and the installation of pumps, safety valves, and metering systems, cooling system, and the laying of pipelines.
In June 2017, APA Group (APA) entered into an initial agreement with BEL to support transporting BEL's gas resources from the Bowen Basin.
Under the terms, APA will undertake a feasibility study into expanding its east coast grid, and consider route options and cost estimates for the new pipeline.
Subsequent to the study, APA is likely to consider building, owning and operating the pipeline infrastructure and transport the gas.
