Baltimore Development Corp., (BDC) is in plans to undertake the expansion of convention center and the development of an arena at Inner Harbor in Baltimore, the US.

The project involves the expansion of a four-story convention center with a floor area of 37,161m2.

It includes the construction of an 18,500-seat arena with two-level, 500 space parking garage, and a 23 to 25-story 500-room Sheraton hotel.

Ayers Saint Gross Architects, LMN Architects, Perkins Eastman, and Populous has been appointed as the architect for the project.

Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC), a non-profit civic group studied the proposal previously, and the project is expected to be funded through public-private partnerships.

On August 2, 2016, Maryland Stadium Authority (MSA) approved the mayor's request of conducting feasibility studies on the project for the second time.

In May 2017, MSA approved a team to explore expansion of the project as well as of a new arena and hotel.

The team includes Ayers Saint Gross, LMN Architects, Clark Construction, Populous, and Perkins Eastman.

The feasibility studies are underway and slated for completion by the fourth quarter of 2017.
