Barratt Developments (BD) is undertaking the construction of a mixed-use complex in London, the UK.

The project involves the construction of 28-story mixed-use building. It will include the construction of 336 apartments, 528m2 office space, 1,200m2 of retail space, 79 car parking spaces, installation of elevators, and related facilities.

In January 2013, Barratt acquired Erlang House and Hill House which is at the southern end of Blackfriars Road.

In May 2013, Maccreanor Lavington appointed as architect, Witherford Watson Mann was appointed as a landscape architect.

In December 2014, the project received planning approvals.

Knight Frank has been appointed as consultant and Hard Hat as the marketing consultant.

Erith Contractors Ltd (Erith) has been appointed as the demolition contractor, Barratt London (Barratt), a division of Barratt Developments Plc as the contractor, Outerspace UK as the landscape architect and DP9 Ltd. as the planning consultant.

In June 2015, Erith commenced demolition works on the site.

In October 2015, BD stated the demolition works on the north end of Hill House to be completed. Subsequently, basement removal works and piling works commenced.

In February 2016, demolition works were completed and Barratt started construction activities with an expected completion by the third quarter of 2017.

On August 1, 2017, Barratt London has unveiled the eagerly anticipated exterior façade of Blackfriars Circus.
