Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk (BCKW) is planning to undertake the construction of residential community in King's Lynn, Norfolk, the UK.
The project involves the construction of 399 homes. It includes the construction of hockey pitches, tennis courts, parking and related facilities. The project will be developed in five phases.
The first phase namely, The Marsh Lane site will involve the construction of 130 homes which includes the construction of 20 social housing properties and 110 homes for sale comprising 2, 3 and 4-bed properties.
In June 2015, a development management agreement signed between BCKW and Lovell. Lovell will design, promote, construct and sell the project. The planning application has been submitted for the first phase of the project.
On December 7, 2015, West Norfolk Council has approved the first phase.
As of March 2016. a public consultation process was underway.
As of August 2016, the consultation on the pre-application plans for a housing development will start on September 7, 2016, with a drop in session for the public. The event was intended to enable local people to have their say on the scheme before a planning application is formally submitted.
BCKW is seeking public comments on the development.
