Amazon Web Services Inc. (Amazon) is planning to build a data center campus in Mulhuddart, Dublin, Ireland.
The project involves the construction of a data center campus comprising eight data centers on 26ha of land. It will be developed in eight phases.
The first phase, Project G, includes a 20,739m2 data center. It includes data halls, associated electrical and AHU plant rooms, a loading bay, a maintenance and storage space, office administration areas, a screened plant and solar panels.
The second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth phases include the construction of two-story data centers each.
The project includes server rooms, meeting rooms, administrative space and parking facilities, and the installation of equipment.
Clifton Scannell Emerson Associates has been appointed as engineering consultant for the project.
In March 2017, Amazon submitted a planning application to the Fingal County Council.
In April 2017, Fingal County Council (FCC) granted planning permissions for the first phase.

Construction of Project G is expected to commence in 2017, and take 18 months to complete.
Construction of the second phase is expected to complete in 2018, followed by the third phase in 2019, the fourth phase in 2020, the fifth phase in 2021, the sixth phase in 2022, the seventh phase in 2023 and the eighth phase in 2024.
