Akademiska Hus AB, Vastfastigheter and Vitartes AB are planning to construct healthcare facilities at Vaestra Goetaland, Sweden.
The project involves construction of four healthcare buildings.
Building I at Sahlgrenska Hospital includes the construction of 35,000m2 administration facility for Sahlgrenska University Hospital. The building will be owned by Västfastigheter.
Building II, on Per Dubbsgatan street, includes the construction of a 10,000m2 common service center for other buildings, which will act as strategic joint facility for the adjacent properties. The building will be owned by Vitarte.
Building III at Medicinareberget includes the construction of a 35,000m2 healthcare facility. It includes construction of clinics, research and education facilities and administration space. The building will be owned by Vitartes
Building IV at Medicinareberget includes the construction of a 35,000m2 education and business services space. The building will be owned by Akademiska Hus.
The project includes construction of laboratories, parking facilities, installation of medical equipment, electrical systems, safety and security systems.
In October 2015, Vastfastigheter launched an architectural design competition, which was won by Sweco AB and Arkitema Architects in April 2016.
Inobi AB has been appointed as preliminary study consultant for the project.
Currently workshops as a part of pilot study is underway. Subsequent to this, program stage is slated to commence in November 2017, system stage in April 2018 and Detailed project planning in April 2019.
Subject to necessary approvals, construction is expected to commence in January 2020 and slated to be completed by first quarter of 2024.
