Agua Caliente LLC, a firm backed by AMG Investment Corporation (AMGIC) and Exergy S.p.A. (Exergy) is planning to undertake the construction of a geothermal power facility in Cassia County, Idaho, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 25MW geothermal power plant by drilling 22 wells. It will include the construction of a powerhouse, a substation and related facilities, the installation of steam turbines, generators and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.
Geological studies such as reservoir mapping and gravity analysis were undertaken by Aguacaliente and GeothermEx, Inc. has been appointed as lead consultant for the project.
In 2009, the Environmental Assessment (EA) activities were completed.
In July 2013, production well drilling began and as of April 1, 2014, three wells have been drilled.
On September 15, 2016, project secured approvals from The U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to drill wells in the public land managed by BLM.
Drilling works are completed and the long term off-take agreement is underway for the project.
The WR project involves the construction of a 25MW geothermal power plant by drilling 18 wells at Walker Ranch near Malta in Idaho, the US.
