AutoZone Inc. (AZO) is undertaking construction of a distribution center in Pasco, Washington, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 41,232m2 distribution center on 37.7ha of land. It includes the construction of a truck maintenance facility, a warehouse, an office space, storage units, loading and unloading facilities, an administrative space, parking and related facilities.
As of January 2016, AZO acquired the project site for US$3.6 million.
In February 2016, AZO received construction permits from Pasco City council.
Under the terms of the approval, the state government will support the project with nearly US$3 million in incentives, including a US$200,000 grant from the Governor’s Strategic Reserve Fund and a sales tax rebate of about US$2.6 million on the cost of construction.
In August 2016, site preparatory activities are underway.
As of December 2016, construction works on the development are underway with completion expected in 2017.
