Al nowais real estate (ANRE) is undertaking Saadiyat Rotana Resort project in the UAE.
The project involves the construction of a five star, 64,000m2 resort on a 9.3ha land. It includes the construction of 327 luxurious rooms and suites, 13 private beach villas, eight food and beverage outlets, meeting and conference facilities, a spa, health & fitness club, a kids club, a mini-golf course, bars and restaurants, tennis courts, parking facilities and the installation of safety and security systems.
Tourism Development & Investment Company has been appointed as associated developer and Rotana Hotel Management Corporation will manage the project.
EC Harris International as the project management consultant; Khatib and Alami Consolidated Engineering as LEED consultant; KCA International Interior Designers Ltd. and Miaja Design Group as interior designers; LMS International as landscape architects; Faithful + Gould as cost consultants; Kryton International Inc as waterproofing sub-contractor; Al Ittimad Foundation Est as foundation sub-contractor; and Al Diya Hospitality Investment as the associate developer for the project.
In the first quarter of 2007, an agreement for the sale of 751,58 m2 of beachfront was signed between the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) and its asset-management arm Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) and Al Nowais Real Estate.
The resort will be owned by Nasser Al Nowais and family.
In April 2013, planning approval received for the project.
In 2013, design works on the project were completed.
In May 2014, an invitation for bids was issued for the construction contract and MEP sub-contract.
On June 15, 2014, bids for the construction contract of the resort were submitted.
The construction contract for the project was awarded to a joint venture of Ali and Sons Company and Kier Construction in the third quarter of 2014.
In November 2014, enabling works on the project were completed and construction works commenced.
MEP sub-contract on the project was awarded to Verger et Delporte UAE Ltd in the fourth quarter of 2014.
Construction works on the project are underway with completion scheduled by the end of first quarter of 2018.
