Infraero Corporation, Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) in association with Vinci Airports is planning to undertake the expansion of Aeroporto Internacional Deputado Luís Eduardo Magalhães in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.
The project involves the construction of eight new boarding bridges, new landing and takeoff runways (parallel runway will be built according to demand), parking spaces, expansion of passenger terminals to 15,000 m2, aircraft yards, and other related infrastructure.
The reform of the terminal is divided into four phases. Phase IA, the operational transfer between Infraero and Vinci, phases IB and IC, which include structure adequacy and expansion and respectively which do not have any specific deadline but must be completed in a maximum of 24 months.
In November 2016, public consultations on the project are concluded.
Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) contracted to BM&FBOVESPA to carry out the concession tender process.
In December 2016, a notice for concession contract has been launched.
In March 2017, Vinci Airports has won the concession contract for 30 years in the auction conducted by BM&FBOVESPA.
