Adani Mining Private Ltd (AMPL), a subsidiary of Adani Group, is undertaking the construction of a rail line in Queensland, Australia.
The project involves the construction of a 389km standard gauge, Greenfield rail line. It includes the construction of platforms, bridges, railway stations and related infrastructure, the installation of signaling and safety systems and the laying of tracks.
In 2010, AMPL has acquired the EPC 1690 a coal reserve from Linc Energy Pty. Ltd and on October 22, 2010, AMPL has submitted an initial application to the government.

In August 2016, AMPL received approval from Whitsunday Regional Council.
Government is undertaking detailed scrutiny and funding eligibility studies.
