Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) plans to undertake the construction of Azeri Central East (ACE) platform in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field in the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan.
The project involves the construction of a new production, drilling, quarters (PDQ) platform. It includes the construction of subsea templates, residential quarters, storage tanks and drilling facilities, fabrication of topside and jacket, and the installation of pipeline, safety and security systems.
The production capacity of the PDQ platform is yet to be unveiled.
On January 16, 2018, two separate Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contracts were awarded to SOCAR-KBR Limited Liability Company (SOCAR-KBR), a joint venture company of KBR Inc. and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).
FEED activities are underway. Simultaneously, AIOC is in the process of commencing tender activities by the end of first quarter of 2018.
BP has initiated the pre-qualification process for the project and is anticipating to issue tenders for the construction contract by the end of the first quarter of 2018. Construction on the project is scheduled to be completed in 2020.
