Direction de l’Ingénierie et de l’architecture Aéroports de Paris, a branch of Aeroports de Paris (ADP) is undertaking the Paris Orly Airport Modernization project in France.

The project involves redevelopment and modernization of the Paris-Orly airport and is being developed in three phases. It also features new construction on a 100,000m2 area.

Phase I involves redevelopment of the south and west terminals to create a new esplanade with spacious walkways, expanded from 6m to 17m. In June 2014, construction work was completed.

Phase II involves construction of a new departure lounge on a 20,000m2 area. Construction commenced in the first quarter of 2013 and is presently underway. The new lounge is expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2015.

Phase III involves the construction of a new connecting building on an 80,000m2 area, unifying the South and the West terminals. It also includes construction of a 270-meter long footbridge, access routes, parking facilities, new baggage checkpoints, airport exteriors and other related facilities.

The project is privately funded by the ADP (50%), Altarea Cogedim (25%) and Foncière des Régions (FDR) (25%).

In the first quarter of 2015, Vinci constructions was awarded the EPC contract for the third phase.

In April 2015, construction activities commenced on the third phase.

In December 2015, construction works completed for the phase II.

On August 20, 2016, ADP issued a tender for the Phase III construction works with submission date as September 16, 2016.

In January 2017, the company Baudin-Châteauneuf has been appointed as the contractor for the footbridge while Vallourec has been appointed as supply contractor.

Construction activities are underway for the footbridge as well as 80,000m2 building.


The project involves the redevelopment of the Paris-Orly airport in Orly, France.
