Australian Chinese Theme Park Pty Ltd (ACTP) is planning to construct a theme park in New South Wales, Australia.
The project involves the construction of a theme park on a 15.7ha area comprising eight themed sections namely, China City Gate entrance (with an Imperial Palace replica), Tang and Song Academy, Water Towns in South China, a 1,000-seat Wyong Theater, Panda Paradise (without actual pandas), Royal Villa and a nine-story Thanksgiving Temple.
It will include the construction of a museum, pagoda and a village consisting of 33 small town blocks with each block containing shops, Buddhist temple, restaurants, and services representative of each of China’s 33 provinces, and the installation of safety and security systems.
The project is planned to be implemented in phases. The first phase will include the construction of China City Gate entrance, Buddhist Temple to be called as "Gan En", and Water Town and Academy. The scope of other phases is yet to be revealed.
Cardno Ltd has been appointed as a lead consultant.
In August 2011, ACTP secured outline planning approval.
On December 12, 2012, Wyong Shire Council approved the sale of 15.7ha of land to ACTP for US$8 million.
Planning activities are underway.
