Alter City Group Holdings Ltd (ACG) is planning to build a casino resort on Tinian Island in Northern Mariana Islands.
The project involves the construction of a casino resort on 155ha of land which will be developed in three phases.
The first phase includes the construction of a two-story resort with 1,500 rooms and 300 units of villas.
It also includes the construction of a casino, 5-star hotels, shopping areas, service apartments, 18-hole golf course, casino, water park, museum, clinic, cafe, restaurants, parking facilities, pool and spa facilities, community centers, and luxury retail outlets.
On October 30, 2014, ACG and CNMI Department of Public Lands entered into a 40-year lease agreement for the project site.
In December 2014, ACG acquired a lease to build the resort.
In January 2016, Alter City Group Holdings Ltd (ACG) secured the casino licence from the Tinian casino Gaming Control Commission.
On June 27, 2016, groundbreaking ceremony was held, marking the start of earthworks.
ACG is in direct negotiations with undisclosed construction contractors. However, the contract is yet to be awarded. The first phase is scheduled to be completed by 2019.
