Abacus Property Group (ABP), in a joint venture with City Developments Ltd (CDL) and KPG Capital (KPG), is undertaking the construction of a residential complex in South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
The project involves the construction of two 30-story residential towers comprising 472 residential units on 0.3ha of land. It will be implemented in two stages. The residential towers are named as "Ivy" and "Eve".
The project includes the construction of a five-story podium comprising retail and commercial space, a three-story, 536-space parking garage, a recreation deck and related facilities and the installation of elevators, and safety and security systems.
On May 8, 2015, ABP and KPG acquired the project site for US$18 million from Sunshine Investments International.
In June 2015, ABP secured Development Approval (DA) for the project.
ML Design and DKO have been appointed as the architects; ADG Engineers as the structural engineer; and J Hutchinson Pty Ltd as the construction contractor for the project.
Construction work on the project commenced in October 2015 and is currently underway. The Ivy tower is scheduled to complete in December 2017 and Eve tower in the first quarter of 2018.
